Companion Double Slant Granite Headstone

The Companion Double Slant Granite Headstone is a dignified granite monument designed to commemorate two loved ones sharing a single cemetery plot. Its defining feature is two matched slanted panels separated by a central divider — each panel angled between 15 and 25 degrees for comfortable reading at ground level and to ensure water runs cleanly off the engraved surfaces. Standard companion dimensions are approximately 42 inches wide by 10 to 14 inches tall at the front, rising to 18 to 20 inches at the rear, with a granite base measuring 44 by 12 inches — proportioned for a companion double-wide burial plot at the majority of Catholic, municipal, and non-denominational cemeteries across the United States.

Both polished surfaces provide ample space for names, dates, portraits, and meaningful inscriptions, making this companion slant headstone an ideal single headstone with two names or headstone for two. The central divider functions as a natural visual boundary between the two dedications, allowing each individual's panel to carry its own full inscription while the united design reads as one cohesive memorial. For a surviving spouse, one panel is typically fully engraved while the other receives the name only, with the date reserved for later addition — a standard living-spouse provision accepted by most cemetery authorities.

Made from durable memorial granite, this granite monument retains its strength, polished appearance, and engraving clarity through decades of outdoor cemetery conditions. Available in seven granite colors: Absolute Black (maximum engraving contrast), Galaxy Black (best for laser-etched portraits), Imperial Red, Mahogany, Gray Mist, Blue Pearl, and Balmoral Red. The angled reading face can carry Roman-serif, script, block, or Old English lettering styles depending on the family's preference.

Inscription possibilities for the companion double slant include paired scripture verses across both panels, bilingual text for Hispanic or immigrant families, Chinese or Vietnamese kanji characters, or simple paired epitaphs such as "Beloved Husband / Beloved Wife" with individual life dates. Portrait medallions or full laser-etched photographs can be applied to each panel. A digital design proof is provided within two business days of order placement, showing exact layout, fonts, and artwork placement. Cemetery coordination is included: we verify specifications with your burial authority before fabrication. Standard delivery covers all 50 states, with professional installation available in 20 service areas. As a lasting gravestone and grave marker for two, the Companion Double Slant Granite Headstone offers a balanced and dignified way to honor two loved ones within one shared memorial.
