Sculpted Curved Companion Upright Granite Headstone

The Sculpted Curved Companion Upright Granite Headstone is a stately granite memorial designed specifically to honor two loved ones within one beautiful, unified monument. Its upright form — broad, stable, and commanding — carries two polished panels separated by a prominent central sculptural accent: a flowing curved relief that draws the eye inward and gives the entire composition a sense of movement and permanence. Standard companion upright dimensions are approximately 40 to 48 inches wide by 28 to 36 inches tall by 8 to 10 inches thick, set on a full-width granite base measuring 42 to 50 by 16 by 6 inches — proportioned for a companion double-wide cemetery plot and compliant with most municipal, Catholic, and non-denominational cemetery regulations governing upright monument height and base dimensions.

The two broad polished panels provide ample space for complete inscriptions for both individuals — name, birth date, death date, scripture, epitaph, and portrait — making this monument an elegant single headstone with two names or companion headstone for spouses, partners, or siblings. The central sculptural accent can incorporate a cross, an angel figure, an engraved family surname, a floral motif, or any meaningful custom design. For a living-spouse arrangement, one panel is fully engraved at the time of passing; the second panel carries the surviving spouse's name only, with the date reserved for future inscription — standard practice at virtually all U.S. cemeteries that our team accommodates as part of the standard order process.

Crafted from durable granite memorial stone, this upright companion headstone is built to maintain its structural integrity, polished finish, and engraving clarity through generations of outdoor cemetery conditions. Available in seven granite colors: Absolute Black (deepest engraving contrast), Galaxy Black (optimal for laser-etched portrait photographs), Imperial Red, Mahogany, Gray Mist, Blue Pearl, and Balmoral Red. Upright companion monuments in Imperial Red and Balmoral Red are particularly distinctive in cemetery settings, providing excellent visual contrast for white or light-gray engraved lettering.

Personalization options include laser-etched photographic portraits from a supplied photograph (recommended on Galaxy Black or Absolute Black granite), military branch emblems for veterans, religious motifs (crucifix, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Celtic cross, Star of David, crescent and star), fraternal symbols (Masonic, Eastern Star, Knights of Columbus), botanical engravings, or fully custom artwork. Paired inscription ideas include Ecclesiastes 4:12 ("A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"), Ruth 1:16 ("Where you go I will go"), or bilingual text for Hispanic, Italian, Polish, or Vietnamese families. A digital proof is delivered within two business days showing exact fonts, layout, and artwork. Cemetery coordination is included with every order: our team confirms all dimensions and base specifications with your burial authority before fabrication begins. Standard delivery covers all 50 states, with professional installation available in 20 service areas. As an elegant gravestone and tombstone for two, the Sculpted Curved Companion Upright Granite Headstone offers a lasting tribute to two loved ones within one shared memorial.
