Integrated Cross Slant Granite Headstone

The Integrated Cross Slant Granite Headstone is a dignified Christian grave marker that unites the timeless form of the Latin cross with the practical elegance of the slant-back profile. Carved directly into the face of the stone rather than applied as a relief, the integrated cross becomes part of the monument itself — a permanent, inseparable expression of faith. The angled reading surface (15–25° pitch) faces visitors at a natural sightline, keeping names, dates, and inscriptions clearly visible, and channels rainfall cleanly away from the inscription area.

Slant headstones typically measure 20–24 inches wide, 4–6 inches thick at the base tapering to 2–3 inches at the top, and stand 10–14 inches tall at the highest rear edge — dimensions accepted by the great majority of Catholic, Protestant, and municipal cemeteries across the United States. Many jurisdictions that restrict upright monuments to 18 inches accept slant markers in this range without restriction. Our cemetery coordination team contacts each facility directly to confirm approved dimensions, base requirements, and installation procedures before any stone is cut.

The Latin cross integrated into this design carries one of Christianity's most enduring symbols — from the Chi-Rho monogram of Constantine to the stone crosses of Clonmacnoise and the carved markers of early New England churchyards. For families seeking a headstone that expresses faith through clean geometry rather than ornate imagery, the integrated cross speaks with quiet authority. Scripture verses frequently paired with this design include John 11:25 ("I am the resurrection and the life"), Romans 8:38–39, and Psalm 23 ("Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil"). Epitaphs in Latin such as Requiescat in Pace (Rest in Peace) and In Aeternum (In Eternity) engrave cleanly on the polished face.

Available in all seven granite colors: Galaxy Black (deepest contrast for laser-etched portraits), India Black, Grey (neutral and widely accepted by Catholic cemeteries), Imperial Red, Bahama Blue, Indian Red, and Royal Green. Rock-pitched sides and a sawn back contrast with the polished inscription face, a classic cemetery finish that has remained in continuous use since the Victorian era.

A free digital design proof is provided for family review and approval before carving begins, showing cross placement, lettering style, and portrait if requested. Nationwide delivery and professional installation are available. Backed by three generations of memorial craftsmanship since 1960.
