Our Lady of Guadalupe Hispanic Granite Memorial

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Hispanic Granite Memorial features a beautifully sculpted relief of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe — the Patroness of the Americas, the Empress of Latin America, and the most venerated Marian image in the Western Hemisphere. Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to the indigenous convert Juan Diego at Tepeyac, Mexico in December 1531, leaving her image miraculously imprinted on his tilma (cloak), which remains preserved at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The tilma image shows the Virgin clothed in a turquoise star-studded mantle, standing on a crescent moon supported by an angel, rays of the sun radiating from her body — a synthesis of Catholic Marian devotion and Aztec solar, lunar, and stellar cosmology that speaks across centuries to Mexican, Central American, and all Latino Catholic communities. She symbolizes divine protection, maternal compassion, hope in suffering, and the dignity of the indigenous peoples of the Americas.

This contemporary Hispanic Catholic headstone has an architectural design that combines elegant simplicity with traditional Catholic devotion. The polished inscription panel accommodates full names, dates, a portrait medallion, and personal inscriptions in Spanish, English, or both. Bilingual epitaphs commonly chosen for Our Lady of Guadalupe memorials include "Bajo tu amparo nos refugiamos" (Under your protection we seek refuge), "Descanse en paz, nuestra querida madre" (Rest in peace, our beloved mother), "No estoy yo aquí que soy tu madre?" (Am I not here, I who am your mother? — the Virgin's words to Juan Diego), and "Siempre Virgen, siempre Madre, siempre Reina" (Ever Virgin, ever Mother, ever Queen).

Crafted from premium memorial granite in seven colors: Galaxy Black, Indian Black, Grey, Bahama Blue, Bahama Blue Light, Indian Red, and Paradiso Old. Grey is widely accepted at Catholic diocesan cemeteries and municipal memorial parks; Galaxy Black gives the highest contrast for laser-etched portraits and fine lettering. The 24 × 36-inch standard size fits the footprint of most single-grave plots. Our cemetery coordination team verifies specific plot dimensions, foundation requirements, and handles installation scheduling.

Every order includes a free 3D design proof with unlimited revisions before carving. Memory Headstones has crafted granite memorials since 1960.
