Slant Companion Headstone

The Slant Companion Headstone is a beautifully balanced granite memorial designed to commemorate two loved ones sharing a single burial plot. Its defining feature is two matching slant markers flanking a central granite vase holder, creating a graceful and symmetrical design suited to a companion cemetery plot accommodating two caskets or cremation urns placed side by side. Each slant panel is angled 15 to 25 degrees for easy reading at grave level and to allow rainwater to drain cleanly off the inscribed surfaces. Standard overall dimensions are approximately 48 to 54 inches wide — including the central vase unit — by 12 to 18 inches in height, with a continuous granite base measuring the full width and 12 inches deep.

Each polished slant panel provides dedicated space for one individual's name, birth and death dates, and a personal inscription or scripture verse, making this a natural single headstone with two names or headstone for multiple family members sharing adjacent plots. For a living-spouse memorial, one panel is fully engraved at the time of the first passing; the paired panel carries only the name, with the death date left blank until needed — a widely accepted cemetery practice that the Slant Companion Headstone accommodates by design. The central vase holder between the two panels serves as a focal point for fresh flowers, artificial arrangements, or evergreen sprigs during visits and holidays.

Crafted from durable granite memorial stone, this monument maintains its polished appearance and engraving clarity through decades of outdoor exposure. Available in seven granite colors: Absolute Black (maximum contrast for engraved lettering), Galaxy Black (recommended for laser portrait work), Imperial Red, Mahogany, Gray Mist, Blue Pearl, and Balmoral Red. Matching granite colors across both panels reinforce the visual unity of the companion memorial; mismatched colors are also available if the couple or family members prefer distinguishing their individual sides.

Personalization options include matching or individual portrait medallions, paired scripture references (Ecclesiastes 4:9, "Two are better than one"), bilingual text for Spanish or French-speaking Catholic families, floral engraving, religious motifs (Celtic cross, Sacred Heart, dove), or fraternal symbols. A digital design proof is provided within two business days of order, showing the complete layout across both panels and the vase unit. Cemetery coordination is included: our team verifies that the monument's total width and base specifications comply with your burial authority before production begins. Standard delivery covers all 50 states, with professional installation available in 20 service locations. As a lasting gravestone, tombstone, and grave marker for two, the Slant Companion Headstone offers a dignified and memorable tribute to two loved ones and the life they shared.
