Classic Polished Half Ledger Granite Memorial

The Classic Polished Half Ledger Granite Memorial is a polished flat-top marker that covers the head half of a grave plot—typically 24 × 24 to 36 × 36 inches—and sits 4–6 inches above grade. The half-ledger format is ideal for sections where full-plot coverage is not required or where a second person's dates will be added to an existing paired grave later. Its raised polished surface lifts the inscription above the turf line for better readability in all seasons without exceeding the height restrictions common in lawn-style cemetery sections.

The smooth polished top provides clear engraving space for a full name, birth and death dates, a short verse, and a small decorative motif or faith emblem. The format is naturally suited to single-person memorials and pre-need planning, where one date can be left blank for completion later. Popular inscription formats include a simple name-and-dates block, a surname over "Beloved Mother" or "Devoted Father," and one-line verses such as "At Peace" or "Forever Remembered."

Available in seven granite colors: Galaxy Black, Indian Black, Grey, Bahama Blue, Bahama Blue Light, Indian Red, and Paradiso Old. Galaxy Black delivers maximum engraving contrast; Grey gives a traditional, understated appearance. All seven colors are available with sandblasted lettering, paint-fill options (gold, silver, or white), and laser portrait etching.
