Companion Bevel Granite Grave Marker with Cross

Companion Bevel Granite Grave Marker with Cross is a meaningful granite memorial designed to celebrate the lives of two loved ones and the Christian faith that defined them. The traditional bevel design — sloping from approximately 3 inches at the rear to 6 inches at the front — provides a natural reading angle and a water-drain surface that keeps inscriptions clean across seasons. A recessed cross is positioned centrally on the polished face, serving as the focal point of Christian hope and remembrance.

Standard companion bevel dimensions are 36 × 12 × 3/6 inches (back to front), weighing approximately 70 to 80 pounds. Wider companion options at 48 × 12 inches are available for families requiring additional inscription space. The extended polished surface accommodates two names, birth and death dates, Bible verse inscriptions, cross engravings, portrait work, and personalized epitaphs. Typical Christian inscriptions include "Together Forever in Christ," "Reunited in Heaven," "Until We Meet Again," and Scripture passages from John 14:2–3, Romans 8:38–39, or 1 Corinthians 15:55–57.

Recessed cross designs are produced using precision sandblasting to create a dimensional relief cross that retains its defined edges through decades of outdoor exposure. Laser-engraved photographic portraits can be positioned on either side of the cross, allowing both individuals' images to face one another across the inscription field. Galaxy Black granite is the preferred finish for portrait work and detailed cross relief; Grey and Indian Black offer the classic look most associated with Christian memorial markers.

This marker is available in seven genuine granite finishes: Bahama Blue (deep ocean-blue tone with silver flecks, popular for serene tributes), Bahama Blue Light (lighter tropical blue-grey with a luminous sheen), Galaxy Black (jet-black with golden mineral specks, the highest-contrast surface for engraving), Grey (classic silver-grey with subtle crystalline veining), Indian Black (deep charcoal-black, refined and understated), Indian Red (warm rust-red with natural mineral variation), and Paradiso Old (a richly toned blend of emerald green, charcoal grey, and deep burgundy). All finishes are sourced from monument-grade granite and hand-polished to a permanent, weather-resistant mirror surface. The low-profile bevel design meets the height restrictions of Catholic memorial parks, municipal cemeteries, and garden sections that limit monuments to 6 to 8 inches above grade.
