Companion Bevel Granite Grave Marker with Ivy Corner Design

The Companion Bevel Granite Grave Marker with Ivy Corner Design is a symbolic granite memorial dedicated to honoring two loved ones and the enduring memories they shared together. Ivy has been associated with fidelity, friendship, and eternal life across centuries of Western memorial tradition — a trailing plant that clings tenaciously, symbolizing the bond between two individuals that persists beyond death.

The marker's bevel profile rises from a low rear edge (approximately 3 inches) to a higher front face (approximately 6 inches), creating a natural reading angle and an angled surface that channels water naturally away from the inscription area. Elegant ivy corner details are carved at both upper corners of the polished face, framing the inscription field with graceful trailing leaves. Standard companion dimensions are 36 × 12 × 3/6 inches (back to front), weighing approximately 70 to 80 pounds; 48 × 12-inch companion versions are available for families requiring more inscription space.

The extended polished surface accommodates two names, birth and death dates, laser-engraved photographic portraits, meaningful Scripture passages, and personalized epitaphs. Common companion inscriptions include "Together Forever," "Reunited in Heaven," "Two Lives, One Love," and Scripture from Genesis 2:24 ("The two shall become one flesh") or Ruth 1:16–17. The ivy corner motif is frequently paired with a small cross, praying hands, or rose imagery in the central field.

Galaxy Black granite is the preferred finish for portrait work and detailed ivy carving; Grey and Indian Black offer a classic, understated background that complements the ivy design. This marker is available in seven genuine granite finishes: Bahama Blue (deep ocean-blue tone with silver flecks, popular for serene tributes), Bahama Blue Light (lighter tropical blue-grey with a luminous sheen), Galaxy Black (jet-black with golden mineral specks, the highest-contrast surface for engraving), Grey (classic silver-grey with subtle crystalline veining), Indian Black (deep charcoal-black, refined and understated), Indian Red (warm rust-red with natural mineral variation), and Paradiso Old (a richly toned blend of emerald green, charcoal grey, and deep burgundy). Each finish is sourced from monument-grade granite and polished to a permanent, weather-resistant mirror surface. The bevel profile's maximum height of 6 inches meets the restrictions of most Catholic, municipal, and garden memorial park cemeteries.
