Puzzle Bench Headstone

The Puzzle Bench Headstone is a distinctive granite bench headstone created to commemorate a loved one through the powerful symbol of interlocking puzzle pieces — each unique, each part of a greater whole, none complete without the others. This design resonates particularly with families honoring someone who was an irreplaceable part of family life, and has become a meaningful choice in memorials for those touched by autism, as the puzzle piece is widely recognized as a symbol of the autism community.

Bench headstones combine the function of a traditional grave marker with seating for family and friends. This piece typically measures 40–48 inches wide × 14 inches deep × 17–18 inches seat height, with a total granite weight of approximately 350–600 lbs. It can serve as the primary marker at the head of a burial plot or as the central monument for a family estate section. Installation requires a concrete foundation pad (6–8 inches deep) and advance approval from the cemetery — our team manages all foundation permits, cemetery correspondence, and installation details.

The smooth polished surfaces accommodate names, dates, laser-etched portraits, and personalized inscriptions. Popular choices include 'The Missing Piece, Now Complete,' 'Every Piece of Us Loved Every Piece of You,' 'You Were the Piece That Made Us Whole,' and 'Our Puzzle Is Complete.' Galaxy Black and India Black granite produce the sharpest laser-portrait contrast. Available in all seven granite colors — Galaxy Black, India Black, Grey, Imperial Red, Bahama Blue, Indian Red, and Royal Green. A digital design proof is provided before carving.
