Rose Teardrop Headstone

The Rose Teardrop Headstone is an upright shaped headstone with a flowing teardrop silhouette and sculpted rose detail, measuring 18 × 4 × 24 inches for standard single-grave and cremation plots. The rose is one of the oldest symbols of remembrance in the Western world — from the sub rosa tradition of Roman antiquity to the Rosa mystica of Catholic Marian devotion, roses represent love, secrecy of the grave, and the eternal beauty of a life well lived. The teardrop form itself echoes grief, devotion, and the gentleness of everlasting love, making this design a particularly meaningful tribute for a wife, mother, daughter, or grandmother.

The sculpted rose sits at the upper curve of the teardrop, hand-carved in relief so the petals stand out in light and shadow throughout the day. The polished face beneath holds names, dates, and a heartfelt inscription such as "Forever Blooming in Our Hearts," "Our Beloved Rose," "Her Life Was Full of Bloom," or a line from a favourite poem. A laser-etched portrait can be added within the lower panel.

At 18 × 24 inches this headstone fits single-grave lots with minimum footprint requirements as low as 18 × 6 inches base. Cremation niche covers or columbarium facings can also use this design with minor size adjustments — contact our cemetery coordination team for specific clearance dimensions.

Available in seven granite colors: Galaxy Black (best contrast for the rose's carved lines), Indian Black (deep polish, very fine grain), Grey (restrained, elegant, widely permitted), Bahama Blue (soft blue-grey complement to floral design), Bahama Blue Light (lighter tonal version), Indian Red (warm terracotta — echoes the natural rose palette), and Paradiso Old (multi-colour swirl that frames the rose beautifully). Indian Red and Paradiso Old give the stone a naturally warm, garden-inspired presence.

Every order includes a free 3D design proof with unlimited revisions before carving. Sandblasted engraving is cut 3–5 mm deep to stay legible in sun, rain, and frost for generations. Our cemetery coordination team handles dimension verification, foundation requirements, and installation scheduling. Memory Headstones has hand-crafted granite memorials since 1960.
