Serpentine Top Slant Granite Headstone

The Serpentine Top Slant Granite Headstone is a traditional slant marker finished with a graceful serpentine top—a classic S-curve silhouette that echoes the crowns of Victorian-era upright monuments at a cemetery-friendly reduced height. Measuring approximately 24 × 6 × 10 inches, this slant headstone rises 10–14 inches at its tallest point, placing it within the 18-inch height limit common in lawn-style and garden-section cemeteries that restrict full-sized upright monuments.

The angled polished face—typically set at 15°–25° from vertical—gives the serpentine top slant its signature readability: names and dates can be seen clearly from a standing position and are not subject to the water-pooling and lichen buildup that affects flat markers. The generous face area accommodates a full name, birth and death dates, a single-line verse, and a small faith emblem or floral motif. Sandblasted lettering is cut into the stone so it stays clear for generations without re-painting.

Available in seven granite colors: Galaxy Black, Indian Black, Grey, Bahama Blue, Bahama Blue Light, Indian Red, and Paradiso Old. The serpentine curve stands out most clearly in Galaxy Black and Indian Black. Grey with the serpentine top delivers the closest look to a traditional upright monument. Bahama Blue Light is a popular choice for garden sections.
